United Methodist Women
United Methodist Women (UMW) is a fellowship of women open to all of the community. Their purpose is to know God, to develop fellowship and to take part in the mission of the church. UMW is divided into groups called circles.
- Genesis • meets on the 2nd Friday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at On Tap restaurant on State Road. The circle consists of women in their 20's-40's, many of whom have young children. Meetings and dinner usually run until 8 p.m. and is followed by a social event.
- Rebecca • meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Parlor. Fun, intellectual, interesting women of all ages, some working, some retired, but all young in spirit, thoughts and activities. Service projects, social activities, study groups, and guest speakers are just part of what they offer.
Susannah • meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 9:30 a.m. in Room 104. Women ages 40-70 meet for fellowship, devotions, business and a program consisting of service projects, speakers, activities and more.
Friendship • meets the 3rd Thursday of the month at 11:00 a.m. in Room 326. A group of mature women dedicated to the ideals, study and mission projects of UMW, using their gifts, their prayers and willing hands. The Circle meeting is followed by a Quiet Time, lunch and a program.
Wesleyan • meets the 3rd Thursday of the month at noon in area restaurants. This circle is a group of mature women who keep up the ideals of UMW by giving their prayers, financial gifts and help with projects which are within their physical capabilities.
